WorldCast Systems today announced the Ecreso SwitchOver, a new 1+1 control unit for Ecreso AiO Series FM transmitters.
Combining Ecreso's decades of RF and FM transmission expertise with Audemat's heritage in monitoring, telemetry and control, the Ecreso SwitchOver is designed around a simple principle: a redundancy system is only as reliable as the unit controlling it. More than an RF switching accessory, it provides advanced control and monitoring for clear visibility into site status, locally and remotely.
Built to Keep Broadcasters On Air
The Ecreso SwitchOver is engineered for broadcast continuity, even if the control unit itself fails. Dual power supplies eliminate a single point of failure in the power supply and help prevent service interruptions. In the event of a control unit failure, connected transmitters remain on air in their current state. For listeners, nothing changes.
Secure, Automated Control
Designed for today's networked broadcast infrastructure, the Ecreso SwitchOver supports secure HTTPS communications and SNMPv3.
Multi-level user management with defined access rights controls who can view, configure or manually switch the system. An independent security audit has also validated the unit's protection against cyber threats. A built-in scheduler enables operators to automate switching and control actions, simplifying routine operations and reducing manual intervention.
On the hardware side, industry-standard RF switches and built-in safety loops prevent unsafe switching sequences, protecting equipment and personnel.
A Familiar AiO Series Experience
The intuitive HTML5 web interface shares the look, feel and navigation logic of the Ecreso AiO Series GUI. Technicians familiar with AiO Series transmitters can operate and configure the SwitchOver with minimal additional training.
This common user experience simplifies deployment and maintenance, particularly for operators managing large, multi-site transmitter networks.
