New Remote Control Package from WorldCast Systems Simplifies Upgrade to Award-Winning AUDEMAT CONTROL

  20 avr. 2017

Miami, FL- April 24th 2017 - WorldCast Systems is to launch a new Remote Control package for broadcasters that takes the ‘pain’ out of upgrading to the latest technology, particularly for existing Burk remote control users.

The new WorldCast Remote Control package comprises the award–winning AUDEMAT CONTROL remote control unit and a new, specially designed DB37 Adapter that bridges the connections between the AUDEMAT CONTROL and existing Burk wiring panels. This allows a broadcast engineer to upgrade his or her remote control network without having to physically rewire multiple connections.

The AUDEMAT CONTROL is an IP-based broadcast remote control device which offers all the core telemetry features you would expect plus some truly powerful SNMP tools and the embedded intelligence of ScriptEasy software. ScriptEasy gives users the power and flexibility to create “Smart” sites; ones that can automatically take action to correct any critical errors that affect operations. Incorporating GPIO functions, serial communications, logic operators, live user inputs, timers and more, the software allows the site operations to be “scripted”, to allow evaluation of multiple parameters and even automatically engage backup systems, while simultaneously alerting relevant technical personnel.

ScriptEasy also incorporates the MasterView web-based application that allows user to create their own customized end-user views for simple aggregation and display of all relevant data as well as presenting action buttons to initiate common actions.

Chris Poulain, VP Sales & Marketing, WorldCast Systems explains, “ScriptEasy has the power to transform a good broadcast remote control network into a great one. It works 24/7 on an engineer’s behalf, not only being vigilant and notifying relevant staff of alarms but also reacting to events and implementing pre-determined back-up plans.”

With the new DB37 Adapter, we have removed a significant obstacle from the path of those engineers wishing to benefit from the many advantages of ScriptEasy and the AUDEMAT CONTROL unit itself,” he added. “We understand that today’s broadcast engineers simply don’t have the time to rewire multiple connections or may simply wish not to for fear of introducing issues to an established working network. However, this may restrict their options when it comes to renewing and updating outdated remote control equipment. The DB37 Adapter opens up new possibilities and feature-sets to them and provides a greater choice of broadcast remote control systems.”

The AUDEMAT CONTROL and DB37 Adapter will be showcased on the WorldCast Systems’ booth, N8924 at NAB 2017.
